These windows are impact rated to wind zone 4, missile level D and glass meets the current ASTM E1300 standard. Casement has 3/8" glass bite and Fix has 7/16" glass bite. Silicone bumpers that are 1/8" thick X 4" wide X 1" tall surround the glass.
